Mission Statement

Our ultimate goal as a cohesive team of crewmates to defeat and eliminate the imposter that is the College Board AP Literature exam. We embarked on this arduous mission to exercise and employ the skills we have gained over the years in the English at the Burnaby North English Department of Training, and wish to build upon the knowledge we encompass. During our adventure within the AP English Literature and Language course, we will collectively complete tasks in a timely manner, push aside our suspicions for one another, and ensure the mental and physical well-being of our fellow crewmates. We also strive to provide one another with the highest level of feedback on assignments and have an overall positive adventure in the depths of AP Literature.

Code of Conduct

Below is a set of rules outlining the norms, rules, and responsibilities of our guild members.

Communication

a) Everyone shall communicate through the Guild group on Facebook Messenger. In this group, every member must maintain notifications on at all times. Once a message has been sent please respond in some semblance through either a message or a reaction.

b) When the ship presents a task, a meeting must be called at least 2 days in advance and accommodate all 7 of our members. However, when a short task is presented within a smaller amount of time, an emergency meeting can be called for everyone.

c) If a member is suddenly unable to attend a meeting, they must notify the group at least 2hrs in advance or risk an emergency meeting.

d) Each meeting shall be maintained for at least an hour, unless completing the task at hand. If the meeting reaches above an hour and a half, there will be a mandatory break in the cafeteria for food or in order to recharge the kill button.

e) All members shall be respectful to each other, without any discrimination or bullying. Any such action will cause an immediate call to an emergency meeting and will be in suspicion of being the imposter

Conflict Resolution

a) When any of the rules in the Code of Conduct have been broken, an emergency meeting will take place where every single crewmate must appear in a call to discuss the situation and hopefully weed out the imposter.

b) If there have been any internal issues between crewmates, they will be instead locked into the medbay to nurse whatever issues they have between each.

c) When a crewmate is falling behind on either short or long tasks, there shall be no spite, but instead, a band of comradery to assist the member that is behind

Task Distribution

Each crewmate shall contribute equally towards the completion of each task; and they shall receive an equal amount of time to do so.
